Clothes have zoomed to become a status symbol rather than a basic need. People pay a lot of attention to which brand of clothes they are wearing. In 2018, we saw some of the usual suspects creating waves in the clothing and fashion industry, and they were accompanied by a few new kids on the block as well.   6. Armani : Italy is the fashion capital of the world, and Armani has ruled this world from Milan for more than 40 years now. They cover the entire gamut of fashion clothes and associated accessories.
  7. Versace : Another luxury clothing brand from Italy which is a regular feature of best selling brands every year. They can be found in every high end outlet across the world today, and 2018 was no exception to their top form.
  8. Ralph Lauren : An American giant among the European bigwigs in the fashion industry, Ralph Lauren has since diversified into accessories, fragrances and home furnishings.
  9. Burberry : This British icon has ruled the fashion charts for more than 150 years, and got a fresh lease of life in 2005 when it separated from GUS.
  10. Prada : This fashion giant has become so synonymous with high end fashion that its name was used in a film title which went on to become a huge hit.
